Understanding malaria.        Malaria is a disease found mostly in the sub-saharan africa,this disease is caused by parasite called plasmodium which is carried by a mosquitoe. When an infected anopheles mosquitoe bites a person,it injects the parasite, which travels to the liver,matures,travel back to the blood stream,enters the red blood cells(RBC),multiplys causing the RBC to burst an realises the parasite which enters the healthy cells and the cycle continues. Causes and prevention.         The myth about cold water,chewing of maize stack or even flowering of maize causing malaria is not valied. To reduce the mortality rate in area affected,we should be aware of those things that promote the spread of malaria.
