Misconception of Family planing

Most women in kenya have gone to school, unlike the past years they never valued education for the girl child. But the question is how did this formal education help them?reproduction is taught in secondary school but most of them do not know about it.
Reproduction in humans is the process where male and female (sperm and ovum) gamete fuse to fertilise into a baby. The woman is fertile when ovulation takes place that's when the ovum leaves the ovary and travels to through the fallopian tubes if in anycase there was conjugation during this period fertilisation will take place but if the ovum finds nothing then the uterus starts to shed off and menstruation starts.
Family planing is the practise of controlling the number of births and the interval between each child. There are different methods of family planing:
  1.            Chemical methods such as,depo-provera, and the pills
  2. Surgical:tubaligation,vasectomy and implants
  3. Natural methods:withdrawal, safe days among others
  Non-chemical methods:IUCD,condoms etc...
Many women believe that these methods, mostly the chemicals ones cause cancer, even those who are practising medicine believe in this myths but the truth of the matter is those methods we actually call chemicals, are hormones that are usually produced during pregnancy. These hormones lies to the reproduction system that there is still feotus in the uterus so the ovaries should not produce ovum for fertilisation. Some women don't menstruate during this time but others are not affected but there are women who believe it's unhealthy, where does the blood go? For your information the uterus only sheds when there's no fertilisation. Now my fellow women you should not be scared to use any form of farmily planing methods but first consult with your gynecologist to know which method is the best. All the best when choosing the right family planing methods.
